experience in teaching, evaluating, research and systems
planning.

William Bozeman received his Ph.D. from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently serves as
Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of
Central Florida. Before joining the faculty at UCF, he was
Professor and Chair at The University of Iowa. Prior to his
appointments as university professor, he served as a high
school principal, federal programs director, and
mathematics/physics teacher. In addition to experience in
education, he has worked and consulted extensively in the
areas of systems planning and design, educational technology,
and program evaluation. Dr. Bozeman has published extensively
in the areas of education, educational technology, and systems
planning and design, including 5 books and over 100 articles,
chapters, and technical papers. A former professional
musician, Dr. Bozeman enjoys playing guitar, keyboards, and
electronic music as well as collecting vintage guitars and
visionary art, and restoring automobiles. Recently, he was
honored with the Southern Regional Council on Educational
Administration’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Terri M. Kinsey has experience as a teacher, school
administrator and district administrator. She has worked in
elementary, middle, high and district level positions in Lee
County, Florida for over 15 years. Terri’s experiences as chief of
staff to the school superintendent and district spokesperson have
provided her with a wealth of opportunities to be involved in
systems operation. Terri coordinated the district’s strategic
planning process and developed the district’s marketing and public
relations plan. She became a state examiner for the Governor’s
Florida Sterling Awards program, a program similar to the national
Baldrige Award. As an examiner, Terri assisted the district in its
continuous improvement efforts and continues to serve as an
advisor on quality improvement. Over the past three years Terri has
written numerous federal and state competitive proposals on behalf
of the school district and has been awarded several million
dollars in grant funds to support the district’s mission and
goals. Among Terri’s community activities, she serves as a grants
reviewer for the local United Way and assists local non-profit
agencies in grant writing. Terri enjoys running and traveling with
her young daughter and her husband. |

Fred D. Johnson
received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee State
University, Master of Education from the University of
Memphis and Doctor of Education from the University of
Tennessee. He served Shelby County Schools in Memphis,
Tennessee, in several capacities including Assistant
Superintendent for Instruction and Interim
Superintendent. He also held the position as a Program
Officer for the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the
President of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA).
Dr. Johnson assists organizations as a STEM consultant. |

James B. Mitchell, Jr. received his Bachelor of Arts
degree from Rhodes College and his Master of Education and
Doctor of Education degrees from The University of Memphis.
Dr. Mitchell retired after 34 years of service in the Shelby
County School District. He served as superintendent of this
46,000 student organization, and he was selected as the 2000
Tennessee Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Mitchell now
serves as School Leader in Residence for the Department of
Leadership in the College of Education at The University of
Memphis. |
